Bots

Several network bots are available to your channels that may perform maintenance or entertainment functions.

"United" is a bot that allows channel operators to use public commands for basic functions, such as !kick or !ban for channel maintenance. It also enables the ability to automatically kick or ban users who use words you select as inappropriate. If United isn't in your channel and you want it to be, try the command "/botserv assign #channel United"

Alternately, if United is in your channel and you don't want it, use "/botserv unassign #channel"

If you have any problems with United, please see an IRC operator in #Help or use the contact form on the website.

"TheLight" is a bot maintained by zEkE for various purposes. It is capable of generating fun statistics web pages for your channel, as well as providing a Bible Bot with several translations. Additionally, if you join #News it provides regular updates of news feeds from several news organizations. If you want TheLight to be either added to your channel or removed, please contact zEkE via PM or use the contact form on the website.

"Goldfish" is another bot maintained by zEkE. It runs the trivia channel, and like TheLight can generate fun statistics. It does not provide a biblebot, but can provide a quote service on request. Contact zEkE via PM or use the contact form on the website if you wish GoldFish to be added or removed from your channel.

"BibleBot" is exactly what it says! It is a bible bot maintained by Jacob. Contact Jacob/LoseIt4Christ via PM or MemoServ if you wish for BibleBot to be added or removed from your channel.

"Supportive" is a bot used by the #Help channel to help us keep track of faults on the network. If a server becomes unavailable we are usually alerted and respond as soon as we are able. Supportive is unable to be joined to other channels, but for more information join #help and type ".help"

"LinkBot" is available to anyone who wishes to link a channel across one or more networks. This is a service provided by zEkE on behalf of Infinitely-aLive to any Christian IRC network who wishes to be involved. The only requirements involved for linking are that the bot is accepted by another network. If you are interested in this service, please contact zEkE via PM or use the contact form on the website.

If you wish to use your own bot for channel functions or entertainment in your own channel, please feel free to. We expect that all bots are connected to a channel with permission from that channels owner. Bots that do not have permission to be in a room may be banned, and this may also apply to the bot owner. Please do not connect bots to network channels, including #UCCN and #Help.
