Internet chat can be daunting for new comers. We try to make this as easy as possible.

To jump right in to chat, click "Chat Now" and you should get a box that says something like "Enter a nickname to chat." Guess what? It's that easy! Put in name you'd like to use, and click the connect button. Voila, you should be in chat with us.

If you'd like to use a client like X-Chat or mIRC, you can connect by typing /server irc.unitedchristianchat.net and then either typing /join #uccn to join the main channel, or typing /list to get a list of all the channels visible.

If you want to add us permanently to your server list, our details are as follows:

  • Network name: This can be anything you like! We recommend "United Christian Chat" or "UCCN" so that you can remember it easily.
  • Hostname/servername: irc.unitedchristianchat.net
  • Port: 6667, or 6697 for SSL enabled clients.
  • Password: Blank. That is, there is no password. If you enter a password of any kind we make no guarantee that it will work.

Then you'll either need to add "/join #uccn" to your connect commands, or manually join the channels you desire when you connect.
