ZxS Script

ZxS is our offering in the mIRC Script department. It is available for download HERE.

Current release version: 0.2.

It has been built primarily by zEkE although some small pieces are derived from older scripts that are no longer updated.

It provides scripts to allow auto-joining channels, NickServ identification and auto-oper for those who are IRCops. All 3 of these auto scripts are configured based on the server or network connected to. This allows for different nickserv passwords on different servers, and ensures you only use your oper password on servers where you need it.

Some simple popups are included, although hopefully some more will be made available.

A quote script is included, allowing for you to remember those profound or amusing moments on IRC.

Installing:

Installation is as simple as opening the zip file and extracting the contents to a folder. You can then create a shortcut to mIRC.exe as you desire. Once running, automatic server configuration can be done by pressing F5. Auto identify, join and oper configuration can be reached via F10, F11 and F12.

Fixes in 0.2:

• Update mIRC to 7.19
• Fixed a major issue with installing to a directory with spaces (C:\Program Files\, for example).
• Fixed minor issues with System Stats

Known Issues:

There are no known major issues to report at this time.

Minor issues:

• Poor documentation
• Some services and op commands may or may not have been fully tested.

Features Expected:

These are features we would like to implement in coming versions. If there is something you would like to see here, let us know via the forums.

• More services commands via popup menus.
• Better documentation within the client.
• More popups.
• Ability to share quotes via a synchronisation system.
